Outdoor Lawn Furniture
Can I put outdoor carpet (about 12×12 ft) on my lawn and arrange a grouping of furniture on it?
I want something I can mow around, not have to move furniture, have a surface that’s friendly to bare feet where the furniture is. But I’m wondering if the outdoor carpet will hold up?
Ten years ago I needed to disassemble paint and reassemble some office furnishings and didn’t have room in my shop. I retrieved a 12×12 chunk of commercial beige carpet from a dumpster and laid it on an area of lawn I had been planning to reseed for years. After the painting was done it some how became a natural spot for a few chairs, now it’s become another patio. It stays clean with the occasional squirt with the hose and shows no signs of deteriorating except to trim a few frayed edges from the weed wacker. And if you need a few worms for fishing all you have to do is lift a corner. And no I don’t live in the third trailer down from Bubba. RScott
