Cheap Dinner Party Recipes
What Chinese foods can we make at home for our own Chinese food birthday dinner?
It’s my Mom’s 50th birthday party and we’re hosting about 60 people and have to cook LOTS of food because the catering would be too costly. We figured Chinese food would be yummy and look great and still be cheap at about $100 – $150 for the whole party. Catering in our ‘tourist town’ would set a party for 60 at about $500 – $750. We are looking for fun yummy recipes that feature chicken and are Chinese food favorites. So far all we have are:
egg rolls
chicken fried rice
sweet & sour pork
chicken balls & cherry sauce
general Tso’s chicken
fortune cookies
Any other dishes that we could make that would wow the crowd? We’re looking for about 10 – 15 dishes and are wondering what people out there might think of?
