Cooking ham for lunch
FAST HELP PLEASE!!!! I am cooking for 10-12 people – need to make something in 2-3 hours!?
I thawed out a ham to make but it says it is expired (it was frozen for a year -it says only to freeze it 3 months!!!) I am supposed to have lunch at 2 and it is 9am. WHAT COOKS THE FASTEST!?!!! Can I buy a ham at the store? Will it cook in time? Will it be frozen too??? HELP!!! FAST!
OK – how long would a turkey or ham from the store take to roast if i go get it now? Is it frozen there? Also – I am having people bring veggies and some rice cassarole as sides… so I can’t do like chili or stew (sorry for not adding that).
ok firdt thing is be calm……you canbuy a ham at the store. they are ususally not frozen. if you take the time to run to store and buy one you’ll be ok. the extra time that it would’ve taken to cook frozen will be used at store, so your time constaints are still ok. if you do ham, let me know how you do yours. we usually open a can of beer and pour over. use the juice to baste during cooking. best of luck on your dinner. remember that you can fancy up canned yams by adding some o.j and brown sugar, then mashing, return to oven to heat, topp with some marshmallows. put under broiler just until melty and lightly golden
