Mothering Sunday Lunch

A family reunion at a casual Restaurant at 2pm with a Buffet meal at 3pm. Is that a luncheon, supper, or what?
I am preparing an announcement for the reunion and had called this event a “luncheon” because it starts at 2pm, even though we aren’t eating until 3pm. My mother thinks calling it a luncheon implies it’s not a substantial meal. I looked up “luncheon” in the dictionary and it said it is a formal lunch. The buffet will include baked chicken, lasagna, salad, mixed vegetable medley, red potatoes, rolls, and cake for dessert. Some people call the afternoon Sunday meal “supper”. I’m from Ohio, if that helps. Any suggestions?
we call it ‘Dinner‘for a special occasion/sunday meal.
