Passover Meal For Children
My parents (with whom I have a strained relationship) have invited me, my husband and toddler ….?
My parents offered to pay for us to go with them for 8 days to a hotel for Passover. Pros: I would not have the heavy holiday burden of cleaning and cooking Cons: just the look of my step-father makes my skin crawl, he makes me feel like I am beneath him and so is my husband and child, we’d be eating 24 meals together. Also, a toddler can’t just play next to the table independently in a hotel Dining room, we’d have to take shifts going to the lobby for him to play.
I said ok but I really am reconsidering – should I cancel?
Don’t do it…if you already have a strained relationship with them… I can guarantee by the time you get back from your 8 days with them…you will be a wreck and the relationship will be destroyed beyond repair. Why would want to put yourself and family through this ?? I think it would be better to have the ( Heavy holiday burden ) and more….than spend 8 days totally stressed out of your mind…also it will not be fair on the little one.
