How do Restaurant chalkboard menus stay so pristine?
these can be found in some restaurants above/behind the counter, and are very detailed with colored chalks, embellishments, etc… are these completed boards treated with shellac or some compound? also, are these done by specialty companies or individuals at the establishment?
They are written on with a kind of wet chalk pen, so they don’t get covered in dust like a chalkboard written on with regular dry chalks. The folk at the restaurant do the writing, as readily spotted by the frequency of spelling errors…
