Spring Menu

Do I have to put my parents financial aid information?
I’m currently filling out my Fafsa and on the section of “Parent Financial Information,” there’s a question stating “Do you want to skip the remaining questions about your and your mother’s income and assets?” Is it okay if I put yes? If I select no, it pulls down to a menu to continue filling out fianancial information.
Also, is it okay to fill out a fafsa application, even thou I might not even attend school 2010 fall but i’ll attend Spring?
Unless you are completely independent, you do have to fill out your parents information. If you still live with your parents, or if they support you in any way, then you are still dependent and you have to include their information in the FAFSA application. But even though you fill out their information, the funding provided (if you are eligible) has nothing to do with either of your parents. They just ask for their information for some reason.
Also, it is OK to fill out the application even though you might not attend because you can always change the dates. Besides, the process cannot be completed until your current university confirms that you are a student.
