What recipe should i make for Mothers Day?
i want to make a dinner for my mom. something simple yet flavorful. im only 13.

Easy Jambalaya
You can make this delicious and simple dish as mild or as spicy as you like, depending on the flavor of the sausage.
INGREDIENTS:
2 (5 oz.) pkgs. Cajun seasoned rice and bean mix
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 lb. cooked smoked sausage, sliced
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
14 oz. can diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
PREPARATION:
In heavy saucepan, prepare the mix according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a heavy skillet, cook sausage, onion, and garlic in oil until onion and garlic are tender and sausage is glazed. Add to prepared mix along with diced tomatoes during the last 10 minutes of the mix cooking time.

Gingered Lemonade
Ginger root adds a wonderful special tang to lemonade for a hot summer day.
INGREDIENTS:
1-1/2 cups sugar
8 cups water
6 thin slices ginger root
2 cups fresh lemon juice
1 lemon, cut into thin slices, seeds removed
PREPARATION:
Mix sugar, water and ginger root in a large saucepan and heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
Add lemon juice and cool for 15 minutes. Remove ginger slices and refrigerate lemonade for at least 1 hour until chilled.

Ribbon Angel Food Sherbet Cake
You can use any combination of sherbet flavors, or use the same flavor throughout!
INGREDIENTS:
1 purchased angel food tube cake
1 pint lime sherbet
1 pint orange sherbet
1 pint raspberry sherbet
PREPARATION:
Freeze cake in its pan. You can make your own angel food cake, if you’d like. Remove frozen cake from pan and cut into 4 layers. Reassemble cake with 1 pint each of softened sherbet spread between each layer.
Reassemble cake and wrap in plastic wrap and aluminum foil; freeze again. 16 servings.

Melon Salad
This fresh and delicious salad recipe is good any time of the year, because melons are usually available throughout the year.
INGREDIENTS:
1/3 cup honey
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh mint leaves
4 cups cantaloupe balls
2 cups honeydew melon balls
2 cups watermelon balls
PREPARATION:
In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine honey with sugar. Microwave on high power for 30 seconds; remove and stir. Microwave 30 seconds longer until sugar dissolves.
Stir and let stand for 10 minutes.
Add orange juice, lemon juice, and mint leaves and mix well.
Place melon balls in large serving bowl and pour honey mixture over. Toss gently to coat and serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until serving time. Serves 12
